Costa's First Fundraiser - Autism Tasmania Inc
Story
The Accidental Fundraiser
I have entered the Cadbury Marathon for a fifth time.
The fifth time to line up outside a chocolate factory early on the second Sunday morning in January. Forty-two kilometres of road awaits. It will take me roughly four hours to complete the full course. It will, regardless of how much training I do, hurt. Very much.
This is the first time that I've ticked the “fund-raise” box on the entry form – thus changing my four hours of repetitive movement from a slightly conceited endeavour to something a bit more altruistic. A thing of a some benefit to others. Something more worthy.
You can make this a worthy endeavour.
Autism Tasmania Incorporated assists those affected by autism through education, support services and ongoing campaigns. An autistic family member has special needs in ways that I can't imagine, and require support in ways which I would have no idea - but we can assist those who do have an idea and are able to help:
